About Us

Who and When

Grady & Associates™, LLC was founded in January 2001 by Grady Cook in order to fulfill a need in the strut-framing specialty contracting industry. Grady had spent nearly 20 years in the industry at a large provider and recognized a need for better quality, service and support for the client.

Why

At the time, there were both large and small providers, but there was a need for a strut installer that would focus on first-class customer service and the client’s needs rather than company mandates. With that as motivation, Grady & Associates™ began to install slotted metal framing, initially concentrating on medical equipment support systems (x-rays, lights, booms etc.), then moving on to all types of strut channel projects. Grady & Associates™, designs, engineers, furnishes, and installs strut and strut-related products with manufacturers such as Unistrut™, B-Line™, Power-Strut™, and Hilti™. Our goal is to provide honest, reliable, and consistent service. We not limited by logistics, geography, or corporate territorial boundaries. Finally it is our plan to build long lasting relationships with our clients and become a permanent team member with each and every contractor.

Where

Our first project in 2001 was at a local area hospital. Since then, we have completed work from Washington to Massachusetts and from New Mexico to Florida. Our coverage area was extended when we opened our Texas office in 2010. We travel to any location our clients have projects and do not consider location or logistics an issue.

What

We design and install systems for simple X-rays for radiology and fluoroscopy to very complex catherization laboratories and endoscopy x-ray rooms. We have relationships and work well with all manufacturers including General Electric™, Siemens™, Phillips™, and Toshiba™, as well as many small independent x-ray companies. We also design and install supports for lights, gas columns and booms, injectors, patient lifts and other equipment manufactured by vendors such as Skytron™, Steris™, Modular™, Trumpf™, Berchtold™, Medrad™, Midmark™, Liko™, Arjo™, Burton™, Hill-Rom™ and others.

How

Strut fabricated support systems are what we do. There are a number of other providers, but Grady & Associates™ is very different. We believe that it is our responsibility to offer our clients complete solutions to their support needs. In a world where many subcontractors add to the headaches of the project team, we work hard to manage this portion of the project so that you can concentrate on the many other subcontractors that need oversight and attention. From concept to completion, we are available every step of the way. We work alongside the architects, engineers, owners, vendors, and contractors for a smooth, integrated and complete solution. We believe that we can make a difference in the finished product and give you comfort knowing the job is done right — the first time.

Strut is often referred to by one of many trade names (e.g., B-Line™, Flexstrut™, Hilti™, Kindorf™, Unistrut™, SuperStrut™, etc.). There are many advantages to strut construction as opposed to miscellaneous metals iron. Strut provides flexibility and the ability to work around obstructions while maintaining structural integrity. A strut channel installation can also be augmented, moved, or added to with relative ease.

Red-iron supports require welding, extensive drilling and bolting, high voltage electrical leads and hot-permits, and are much more difficult to fabricate within required tolerances. Combined with our experience, service level, relationships with vendors and knowledge of their requirements, Grady & Associates™ and strut solutions are simply the best choice for all fabricated framing needs.
